Unstoppable Domains has partnered with one of Reddit’s largest crypto communities, r/EthTrader, to launch the .DONUT domain.
Once launched, the .DONUT top-level domain will provide r/EthTrader’s 2.3 million members with member-owned digital identities, expanding the community’s presence in the blockchain ecosystem.

Unstoppable Domains is the largest provider of on-chain domains and digital identities on the blockchain.
The project was launched in 2018 and provides on-chain domain names and a digital identity platform that works to integrate the world on blockchain.
Chain domains are minted on the blockchain, giving their holders full ownership, unlike traditional domains that are effectively created and managed by a registrar.
Additionally, chain domains have no renewal costs once purchased.
Even on-chain digital identities are the sole and complete property of their owners, giving full control of their digital identity directly to the individuals.
Thanks to chain domains, crypto address holders can replace long alphanumeric strings with an easily readable name, with which they can access and transact on almost 900 apps, wallets, exchanges and marketplaces.

The community on Reddit: the .DONUT domain is coming
r/EthTrader is Reddit’s largest community dedicated to Ethereum, having now reached a remarkable 2.3 million members.
It was one of the first crypto communities founded on Reddit and was also a pioneer in implementing community points, thanks to its DONUT token.
r/EthTrader is also known for its innovative approach to distributed governance, weighted survey systems, and community-driven decision making.
Now, thanks to the collaboration with Unstoppable Domains, it launches on-chain digital identities for its members, thus connecting traditional social platforms with blockchain infrastructure.
The .DONUT domain and the Reddit r/EthTrader community
The traditional .DONUT domain does not exist.
In addition to the classic domains .com, .org, .net, there are now many others, such as .bar, .beer, .coffee, .pizza.
Today you can register traditional domains choosing from hundreds of extensions, but .donut does not exist among them.
DONUT is the specific token of r/EthTrader, and the domain chain .DONUT was created by Unstoppable Domains specifically for r/EthTrader members.
It should be remembered that Unstoppable Domains chain domains have nothing to do with traditional website domains and are not even used for the same purposes.
.DONUT is Unstoppable Domains’ second TLD (top-level domain) based on a Reddit community, following .MOON created for the 8.8 million users of r/cryptocurrency.
The .DONUT domain represents the community’s DONUT token, which has been an integral part of r/EthTrader’s governance and rewards system since its inception.

The DONUT token from the r/EthTrader community landed on the crypto markets in 2020.
During the last big bullrun, that of 2021, its price shot up from 3 thousandths of a dollar to 93 thousandths in less than a month, in January of that year, and since then it has never returned to those levels.
Already in November of the same year, a sharp fall began that took it from 8 thousandths to even less than one thousandth of a dollar during the subsequent bear market of 2022, to rebound in August 2023 to almost 30 thousandths.
The peak of 2024 was reached in March, above 35 thousandths, but then it plummeted again. Now, for example, it has fallen below 5 thousandths of dollars again.
It is, therefore, a highly speculative token, which does not perform well in the long term, but which sometimes marks broad and rapid increases that can be useful for those who want to operate with it and know how to predict them.
