Hewlett Packard Enterprise announces $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks

Silicon Valley giant Hewlett Packard Enterprise has revealed its upcoming acquisition of networking and artificial intelligence company Juniper Networks.
The companies announced this week a definitive agreement in which HPE will acquire Juniper for $40 per share in an all-cash transaction with a total value of $14 billion.
HPE expects the acquisition to double its networking business, adding to the portfolio of services HPE can offer its customers. The acquisition will also strengthen HPE’s offering to customers with industry-leading artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud networking capabilities.
Rami Rahim, CEO of Juniper, will lead HPE’s combined networking business, reporting directly to Antonio Neri, president and CEO of HPE.
