The Game Awards previewed the announcement of the new game related to the popular HBO series, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. The mobile role-playing game comes from Netmarble and tells a new original story set during the tumultuous fourth season of the original Game of Thrones.
As heir to House Tiro, a northern noble house, you must forge your own path through the game of thrones and try not to lose your head, so to speak. You’ll customize your heir, select one of three classes (Sellsword, Knight, or Assassin), and attempt to navigate the tense politics of Westeros, while mastering the unique combat mechanics of your chosen profession.
“We believe Game of Thrones is a world rich with untold stories and adventures, and we’re thrilled to bring Westeros to life in a new and exciting way for players,” Netmarble CEO Young-sig Kwon said in the announcement. .
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will launch on mobile devices in 2025, with other platforms to be determined.
