CrowdStrike announces AI-powered partnership with NVIDIA

NVIDIA’s GPU-powered AI will power CrowdStrike’s Falcon XDR platform to drive the safe creation of generative AI.

Cybersecurity company CrowdStrike has announced a new strategic partnership with graphics hardware giant NVIDIA.

The partnership will see NVIDIA’s GPU-optimized technology added to the CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform, giving both companies’ customers the ability to create “personalized and secure” generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

According to CrowdStrike, bringing “AI-powered security” into the hands of customers is an important part of fighting the increasing pace of cybercrime. CrowdStrike’s own 2024 CrowdStrike Global Threat Report showed that the time it takes for a threat actor to break into an internal network was reduced to 62 minutes, while the fastest breakout time is just two.

“Since our founding, CrowdStrike has pioneered the use of AI in cybersecurity,” George Kurtz, co-founder and CEO of CrowdStrike, said in a statement. “Our customers across verticals, segments and geographies are increasing AI/ML adoption in their businesses, looking to generative AI to achieve efficiency, speed and innovation.

“Our collaboration with NVIDIA combines the power of two innovative industry leaders to not only help customers meet and exceed necessary security requirements, but also to increase the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies for business acceleration and creation of value”.

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, sees the entire problem as a data volume problem.

“Cybersecurity is inherently a data problem: the more data companies can process, the more events they can detect and address,” Huang said.

“Combining NVIDIA-accelerated computing and generative AI with CrowdStrike cybersecurity can give businesses unprecedented visibility into threats to help them better protect their businesses.”
